Wiltshire Public Notices: Listed Buildings, Liquor Licenses and Road Closures

Development Applications: The following development applications are those affecting the setting of a listed building, conservation area, public right of way or major applications.

Chippenham: PL/2022/03215 & PL/2021/06413 – 23-24 Market Place; Conversion of offices into eight self-contained dwellings;
Compton Bassett: PL/2022/03158 & PL/2022/03282 –
Street Farm, Internal and external modifications and addition of a first floor connecting structure to create a single family home. Nettleton: PL/2022/03055 – The Coach House, solar panels and air source heat pumps.

Liquor licence: Lorna Noble requests an amendment to the operating license for The Black Horse, New Road, Chippenham.

The request, if granted, is to change the following details on the premises license: expand the area permitted for the sale of alcohol and late-night refreshments; supply of live music and recorded music in the additional area indoors and outdoors.

Road Closures: Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an order temporarily closing to all traffic: Union Street (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Oxford Street to the outer property known as Ravensbourne to enable Wales and West Utilities Ltd to set up new services and associated works. The alternative route is via Union Street (length not affected), Scholards Lane, Oxford Street and vice versa.

This decree will come into effect on May 10 and the closure will be required between 8 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. for four days.

Back Lane (Part), Calne Without, will also be closed, from its junction with the A342 for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction to allow Wessex Water to carry out a meter replacement.

The alternative route is via Back Lane (length not affected), A3102, A342, Back Lane (length not affected) and vice versa. The closure is from Monday May 9 and will last three days.

Part of the C86 at Grittleton – from its junction with C72 to its junction with C151, will be closed to allow Openreach to carry out the cabling for the new customer connection requiring access to the underground structure and associated works.

The alternative route is via C72 – C71 – B4039 – C86 (length not affected) and vice versa. This decree will come into force on May 10 and the closure will be required between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. for one day.

Ball Road in Pewsey will be closed from its junction with the High Street to the outer property known as The Coopers Arms to allow Openreach access to the BT underground structure to provide service and associated works.

The alternative is the route via Ball Road (length not affected), Southcott Road, Green Drove, Swan Road, Church Street and High Street and vice versa.

It will be from Wednesday, May 11 and the closure will be imposed between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for one day.

C21 (part), Collingbourne Ducis; from its junction with C259 to its junction with Herridge to allow safe access to Openreach for the supply of a new pole and associated works. Alternative route via C21 (length not affected) – A338 and vice versa. From May 12 and closing will be mandatory between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for one day.

The B4528 at Chippenham will be closed from its junction with the B4643 for a distance of approximately 280m in a northeasterly direction
