West Ham and Crystal Palace ‘timidly tested the ground’ to sign ex-Arsenal player
Aaron Ramsey had no choice but to head for Arsenal’s exit in 2019, after the Gunners withdrew a renewal offer they had previously presented to him. As a free agent, the Welshman was able to have his choice of clubs and secured a move to Juventus.
The Turin side had targeted free agents, apparently without a coaching plan on how they would use them. Juve’s overall hope when signing players like Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot seemed to be that a Premier League club would eventually show up and give them a huge profit.
Calciomercato report that Ramsey’s two seasons at Juve have been disappointing and hampered by injury, and the only two English clubs named in the report are West Ham and Crystal Palace.
The London clubs, led by David Moyes and Roy Hodgson respectively, have both “ timidly tested the ground ” to sign the former Arsenal player. It doesn’t look like West Ham or Crystal Palace are rushing for the potential signing.
Ramsey is believed to be open to a move, however, he’s not too keen on taking a pay cut. This should be worked out with the Serie A club, and it has even been claimed that Juventus want around € 15million, which sounds a bit ambitious.
