Jadeveon Clowney A Scary Realistic Dream
Could Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots pull off a major heist and lure Jadeveon Clowney into the squad on a one-year contract?
Well, that possibility could be a realistic dream for Patriots fans and an absolute nightmare for the rest of the NFL.
While it’s hard to believe that a top free agent like Clowney is always looking for a squad, it wouldn’t be surprising for Belichick to take advantage of the fact that the tip monster is still around and available, which has Evan Lazar from CLNS adding some hype to a rumor that was unrealistic just a week ago.
More than Chowder and Champions
“Before you tell me to stop dreaming, listen to me. According to some reports, Clowney is looking for a high-end deal worth almost $ 18 million, ”Lazer wrote, via Clutch Sports. “But he’s still unsigned and is starting to emit Cam Newton vibes like someone who might need a year ‘to prove it’ to reset his value.”
With the cap space of $ 6.55 million, the team now has the following settlements with the two Antonio brown and Aaron Hernandez, there is monopoly money to play with. Who better than Bill Belichick to capitalize on a starving player like Jadeveon Clowney?
Clowney, who’s just had a statistically bad year with the Seattle Seahawks, has the versatility to fit right into Belichick’s pattern. Not only is he strong against the race, he is able to create absolute mayhem out of the edge. He would be perhaps the most talented athletic defensive player Belichick has coached since the days of Laurent Taylor.
What makes this idea or dream even more appealing is what the Patriots already have in defense. With what is considered to be one of the best, if not the best defensive secondaries in the league, adding Jadeveon Clowney to the top seven would be a major improvement over Kyle Van Noy or any player for that matter. ‘team had come off the edge.
The only downside to this possible acquisition (if there is one) is that it could push back playing time for younger players like Chase winovich and recruits Anfernee Simmons and Josh Uche would benefit. But, for just a year, these players would learn a lot playing behind a freak of nature like Jadeveon Clowney.

Plus, Bill Belichick would like to have a player he called a “big deal” actually wearing a New England Patriots uniform.
“Great player, very difficult to block,” Belichick said after a Week 1 game with the Houston Texans in 2018, via Chrono.com. “He’s a force on every down. Looks like he’s like (JJ) Watt, more dangerous on the big downs, third down, short distance, goal line, two minutes – things like that. It’s a big problem. It’s a tough game for anyone trying to block it.
Clowney has had some pretty important games against the Patriots, so it would be fitting if he shot a Darrelle Revis and gave Belichick an affordable year that maybe helps bring another Super Bowl to New England.
Wouldn’t it be fate if Jadeveon Clowney fell to the knees of the New England Patriots and ended up sacking Tom Brady in a Super Bowl clash for the ages? Okay, now maybe we’re really dreaming… or are we?
