Can you bring alcohol to the Isle of Wight Festival 2022?

Festival-goers will be chomping at the bit for their dose of the best rock, pop and dance music around, starting Thursday (June 16) and ending Sunday. Tickets are still available for the event, made famous in the 60s by Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and The Doors, through the Ticketmaster website.

This time around, music fans will feast on Kasabian, head to Niles Rodgers and Chic or shape up to tunes by legendary DJ Pete Tong, who is among dozens of top artists performing at the festival. . But what about alcohol? Well, there will be bars offering a wide range of beers and other drinks, including real ale brewed on the island “gravity poured from the barrel” and “specialty cherry beer”.

Unfortunately, however, you will not be allowed to bring your own alcohol to the festival itself.

The festival terms and conditions state: “Alcohol, food, cans and bottles are permitted in the campsite ONLY. No water, soft drinks, alcohol or food should be brought onto the festival site. Bottles and/or empty, reusable cups (up to 600ml), however, are permitted.”
