This week it was announced that Asda will reinstate its discount for Blue Light Card holders, giving money to those working in the NHS, emergency services, social services, social care sector and the armed forces.
Cardholders will be able to receive 10% off select products and services, including food and soft drinks, George clothing and household goods, toys, gifts and optical services, at all Asda stores in the Kingdom United when they present their Blue Light card to check. The supermarket has also scrapped its 12-week qualifying period for staff reductions in stores and online until October 2022, so new hires can save 10% on purchases from their first day of employment.
But, while this is good news for Blue Light Card holders, there are still restrictions on using their discount, as some items are not included. For starters, the high fuel prices we are currently seeing across the country will no longer be manageable by a Blue Light rebate.
