Asda Blue Light Card: Fuel, alcohol and postage stamps not included in discount

Asda announced this week that it would reinstate its discount for Blue Light Card holders. Those working in the NHS, emergency services, social services, social care sector and the armed forces will be able to get money on certain products and services.

Cardholders will be able to get 10% off food and soft drinks, George clothing and homeware, toys, gifts and optical services at all Asda stores in the UK. The supermarket has also scrapped its 12-week staff reduction qualification period in stores and online until October 2022, meaning new hires can save 10% on purchases from their first day of employment. .

As Bristol Live reported, there are some restrictions on buyers using their discount, as some items are not included. For example, fuel prices will not be cheaper with a Blue Light discount.
